Metropolitan Public Transportation Authority Established  

Through active bipartisan efforts and the support of RPAC members, voters in November approved the 1% sales tax referendum to raise $19 billion over the next 30 years to fuel major upgrades to regional rail, roadways, bus systems, and other vital infrastructure throughout Mecklenburg County.
